Albion capped their busy week in perfect style – thanks to*six minutes of bedlam at The Amex.
The Seagulls scored in the 52nd, 56th and 57th minutes to see off lowly Bolton 3-1.
Victory came hot on the heels of pleasing draws at Reading and QPR.
They trailed at the break to a curious 28th-minute strike which initially went down as a David Lopez own goal.
There was no doubt the leveller was an own goal as Kazenga LuaLua’s inswinging free-kick flicked off the head of Jay Spearing and past keeper Adam Bogdan.
Spearing had been booked for conceding the free-kick, fouling Stephen Ward.
Inigo Calderon put the Seagulls ahead with a bouncing volley across Bogdan and inside the far post.
Then Will Buckley fired inside the far post to complete the comeback.
It was the first time Albion had won from a losing position since Buckley’s historic double against Doncaster on the first day of the 2011-12 season.
The result heaps pressure on Bolton boss Dougie Freedman, who was taunted by home fans.
His side’s opener came from Chris Eagles’ low cross which flicked off David as he tried to block.
There was some doubt as to whether David Ngog got a touch as the ball rolled in.
But, in the end, it did not really matter.
