Nathan Jones was full of praise for Albion after the side ground out a 0-0 draw at promotion favourites QPR.The Seagulls kept the former Premier League side at bay with a resolute performance, and the assistant head coach believes few sides will come away from Loftus Road with a result this season.
He told www.seagulls.co.uk, “The performance was first class and we took care of business really well.
“It is a very difficult place to come and they won't drop many points here.
“It was a real, proper away performance. We did the ugly stuff extremely well and could have nicked one on the break or from set-plays. We had a good variation and all in all it was a great night’s work.
“We would have loved to have gone on and got the three points but let’s not be greedy, a draw was a fair result.
“They are a good side and we had a few situations where we had to properly defend – which is what you are going to have to do when you come to QPR; there aren’t many sides that are going to dominate them here.”
The Welshman admitted there is a contrasting feeling in the dressing room compared with Sunday following the goalless draw at Reading.
“We are delighted with the two clean sheets but if we are honest we felt that we should have won the Reading game.*
“That is not quite the thinking here tonight because this is a good side and if we are a point behind QPR at the end of the season then we’ll have a hell of a chance of getting to the Premier League.*
“Sunday we felt that we were the better side and that we created more chances. If we had been a little more clinical then we would have had three points, whereas tonight we showed a different side to our game and we are thoroughly delighted with the point.
“We are in a good place, we are playing quite well and we are getting results.
“We’d like to be turning one point into three but we realise that Reading and QPR have come down and they are fantastic sides. We are happy at the moment but we are not getting carried away, there is a good platform to work from.*

“We are getting people back from injury and there is a little buzz stirring and that is the kind of thing we are looking at.”
Meanwhile Jones singled out Keith Andrews for his displays since joining on loan from Bolton.
“Keith has been outstanding for us. He adds a calmness and a security there, and a maturity when he steps in and plays balls through.
“He doesn’t look flustered and he is used to his level, and we brought him in because we knew he could handle this level comfortably.
“He takes everything in his stride and has been a good acquisition for us.”
