Does anyone know a reasonably priced firm that do cine to digital conversions, ie transferring cine 8 onto a DVD in the Brighton/Mid Sussex area. Got about 2200ft of film. Thanking in anticipation of the usual NSC constructive advice!

There's a guy in Hastings....(near Warrior Square) will sort out the address for you tomorrow and PM to you....he did all my discs at £6 a disc....he will not edit it as different people want different music or cuttings...you can post them or take them over.

I had 12 reels of 8mm cine converted a couple of years back.
The bloke has a machine that takes a digital image of every single frame - other naff companies project the cine onto a screen and video it - DON'T do it that way - you will get flicker !!
Rather than put in on a DVD [which he will do as standard] I asked him to put them all on a 32GB memory stick as AVI files - I can then edit these to my needs using good old Window Movie Maker [free app].
He also cleans up your celluloid before starting to get the best possible quality.
From memory, the 12 reels cost me about £40.
PM me if you want me to did out his details - he's Cheshire based but does post no problem.
