Albion Women will take on Super League side Barnet in a friendly this Sunday, as the team takes a week’s break from competitive action. The Seagulls have made a satisfactory start to the season, recovering well from an opening-day defeat to Cardiff with a thumping win at Keynsham and a respectable draw away to Coventry.
A number of key players are likely to be rested for the game, with a few picking up knocks in the opening stages of the season.
Lily Agg (ankle), Charlotte Young (calf), Tammy Waine (foot), Cally Beaumont (hamstring) and Cherelle Khassal (hip) are all doubtful, as a number of reserve team players will be given the chance to impress.
Amy Green and Yasmin Poole, who both played in the Reserves’ 5-0 victory over Portsmouth, are in contention for a place in the squad, along with Danielle Rowe and Sienna Howell.
The match will be crucial preparation for the upcoming home fixtures against Chesham in the Premier League Cup on 22nd September, before a crunch league encounter with West Ham at Worthing the following Sunday.
