Will this be a boring season

I can't remember when there was a time in mid-season with less happening.

We made no moves at the end of the transfer window. Little concrete info on loans. No game this week. We're mid-table with a couple of hard games to come and little of interest on NSC at the moment.

If injuries recover, the squad is ok, perhaps lacking a bit of flair from Vicente and Bridge, but with a better striker -Ulloa- starting the season on form. Is this enough to compete in what seems a harder league than last year. Do we need to invest in loans and in January? Oscar seems ok and the team are adapting to his style. He doesn't make the media gaffes of Gus and as a result the news is less interesting - which is not a bad thing!

What excitement is there to come?

think its more a case of it being early days - only a few games under oscar garcia

im hoping its more the fact that people on here arent jumping to conclusion too much, starting ridiculous threads, and are going to wait a month or 2 to see how everything pans out - a lot can change between now and january

id say overall the squad is slightly stronger (minus losing bridge) and the club have done very well to hold on to our players like bridders and ulloa. Im happy enough with that, and the loan window is still open

id say the league is harder this year - especially when you look at QPR's squad

The squad is stronger this season. Ulloa and Upson for a whole season - not just 20 games - outweighs the loss of Bridge alone. And that's before you account for the fact that Andrews and Agustien are better than the players they replaced: Hammond and Dicker.

QPR are the only team better overall than anyone last year. A top 6 finish is still a realistic target.
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal...

What excitement is there to come? The possibility of the longest winning streak in the clubs history.

This season was always going to be transitional. Whether the squad is stronger or not, it will take a while for OG to get used to the Championship and the squad to get used to OG. If we manage to get a settled squad, a way of playing and tee things up for a proper promotion push next season I'll be happy.

No point in stressing about it, just enjoy going to games, a day out and a few beers

Not really mid-season is it? We're only a month into the season. Mid-season is more October-November in my opinion.

Absolutely this. Especially the beers bit...
'Cause I know that you know that we know they don't know what's going on.

I do suspect that this will be a season of mid-table mediocrity.

I don't mind so much, it's Oscar's foundation season, but I'm hoping for an exciting FA Cup run again.
