Just for fun: If we'd gone up, who would you have liked us to sign?

As a bit of fun. If we'd gone up instead of our 'friends' up the road, who realistically, would you have liked us to bring in?

For me:

Wayne Bridge - Free
Henri Lansbury - Forest - £3.5m
Jedinak - Palace - £3m
Vydra - WBA - £6m
Tom Ince - £7m
Matthew Upson - Free
Charlie Austin £3m
Pacey centre-half - £5m
Total: £27.5m

Non-signing:
Chicksen
Andrews
Spanish Dave
Agustein

I think we would have had less problem than Palace convincing players to come.

Not Jedinak thats for sure. Poor player imo. Certainly not premiership standard. Would have taken a chance on Williams from Palace but no one else

Hear what you're saying and to a certain extent Jedinak is a poor man's Bridcutt, but he is a force and looks fairly good so far (although it pains me to say it).

Any suggestions of your own?

Unproven though! big gamble... Could pay off though.
Pesonaly someone like Troy Deeney would be a better prospect.

I briefly wondered what it would be like at their next training session when the bus load of new signings arrive and Holloway tries to remember who is who. At some point he asks one or two of them 'what are you doing here - did we sign you?' - and maybe a bit later he asks: 'so which one of you is Bentdner?'

Pure comedy.

With the new anti-homophobic legislation, that would have led to an extraordinary amount number of arrests.

Genuinely, WHO?! I must have missed that one.

You wouldn't know him, he's mostly played in the Premier League.

This place is great at the moment. Such wonderful bitterness, I'm almost too afraid to read on in case I catch something.

Jedinak is a poor man's Bridcutt, really? I am literally laughing my arse off.

I think we'd have gone shopping in Spain.

Well, Jedinak can't run or pass so I'd back that up yeah.

I've looked him up now:
2001–2004 Arsenal 0 (0)
2002 → Queens Park Rangers (loan) 4 (1)
2002 → Queens Park Rangers (loan) 6 (2)
2004–2008 Charlton Athletic 103 (7)
2008 → Portsmouth (loan) 1 (0)
2008–2009 Portsmouth 2 (0)
2009–2013 West Bromwich Albion 99 (11)
2012–2013 → Leeds United (loan) 6 (1)
2013– Crystal Palace

Wow, what a career!
Judging by appearances, he's actually mostly played outside of the Premier League.
22 league goals in 12 years for a midfielder is appalling.

I think he's one of our weaker signings, but Arsenal, Charlton, Portsmouth and West Bromwich were all Premier League teams at the time, so you're wrong in that regard.
