To be fair, L'pool played well against the top teams in the second half of last season, it was against the "lesser" teams they dropped silly points. Still a work in progress, but it looks quite promising for them early season.

United look lightwieght, but if they get Felleini, it should help.

Liverpool lost the use of their left-wing as soon as Sterling came on. He's just too tiny, if you're going to be that size you need to have other qualities that he does not have yet. he had that lucky last minute shot when United were going forward, and he could utilise his pace in the space it created. Other than that solid defensive performance by Liverpool, United never got going.
