Andrea Orlandi
Andrea Orlandi is delighted to be back from injury, however he confessed he is playing through the pain barrier. The midfielder came on as a half-time substitute in the 1-1 draw against Millwall for his first performance since the opening day of the season but admitted his knee is still not 100 per cent.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “I’m very pleased to be back although my knee is causing me discomfort but I will cope with it.
“The injury actually happened after three minutes at Leeds and it was a little concerning for me because my knee wasn’t responding.
“I felt something go in my knee and it wasn’t right but I kept playing. When we travelled back and got off the bus, I couldn’t walk and my knee was really swollen.
“I wasn’t feeling too good and I was quite worried that I would need an operation but, finally, I managed to play and now I hope to get some more games.

“So we waited for two weeks and now I’m here. Hopefully we have made the right decision. Now I just want to keep working and keep getting stronger."
Meanwhile the Spaniard feels the side need to learn lessons from the draw against Millwall but praised top scorer Leonardo Ulloa for his early season form.
“We came back after their goal but the feeling we have is that we didn’t really play for 55 minutes.
“When they scored that is when we started to play and that is something we need to look at. We were the better team but we have to start brighter, especially at home.
“Leo is such a big player for us. He showed that last season and he has started this season in good form.
“Last week he had the best game I have seen him play and he’s getting stronger. He is a threat to any defender and he should have been celebrating two goals today.”
