Albion head coach Oscar Garcia has revealed his window pain.
The Spaniard admits he has found it difficult dealing in the transfer market.
But he is grateful for the club’s support in helping him adjust to English football.
Albion have signed Adam Chicksen from MK Dons and Kemy Agustien from Swansea in permanent deals since Oscar’s appointment at the end ofJune.
They also landed Keith Andrews (Bolton) and Stephen Ward (Wolves) on season-long loans and have re-signed Matt Upson and David Lopez.
Oscar told The Argus: “It’s not easy with the budget to do this job. You have to think about a lot of things, the price, the salary. It was different before in Tel Aviv. We had a sporting director (Jordi Cruyff) and in Spain it's not usual for the coach or manager to do this job, it's normally the sporting director.
“The club and David Burke (head of football operations) are helping me a lot.”
Significant late movement by Albion is unlikely before Monday night's transfer deadline and they also intend to keep Ashley Barnes.
Championship rivals Burnley expressed an interest in the striker, The Argus understands. But Barnes is well out of their price range and the Seagulls have no plans to sell him.
Barnes (hip) remains doubtful for Millwall's visit tomorrow and Andrea Orlandi (knee) has suffered a setback to his recovery in training. Keith Andrews (hamstring) could be fit to return.
