Huge game for Sussex begins this morning against thier bogey team , nothing but a win will do really if they want to maintain a outside chance of winning this years title , going to be a tough ask me thinks ....

Nash, Wells, Yardy, Joyce *, RHB, Machan, Brown +, Beer, Jordan, Magoffin, Anyon.

Good lineup, can't put much better than that out on the square.

This doesn't look like Warks strongest team:

Warwickshire team

V Chopra*, IJ Westwood, WTS Porterfield, A Javid, LJ Evans, TR Ambrose†, TP Milnes, KHD Barker, JS Patel, RO Gordon, MA Chambers

The Warks team looks ridiculously weak, we've been crippled by call-ups and injuries.

Trott and Bell are being rested, understandably. Woakes picked up a niggle playing in the Test match. Rankin is being rested, presumably at the behest of the ECB as he's in the ODI squad (although I'm miffed that Jordan has been allowed to play). Rikki Clarke is injured and Chris Wright is out for the season. We've got two bowlers in on loan (Maurice Chambers from Essex and Richard Jones from Worcestershire) and the latter is injured. Our only 'star men' available are Chopra, Barker and (arguably) Patel.

Chopra*, Westwood, Porterfield, Javid, Evans, Ambrose +, Milnes, Barker, Patel, Gordon, Chambers

It won't matter, it is an unwritten Rule that Sussex lose to Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

We haven't won a championship game at Edgbaston since about 1584.

Is now the time to finally do it?

We need to if we stand any chance of catching Durham / Yorks ...

I guess we'd like Durham to win their current game, but with low batting points for both... ?
