What have you given up for the Albion?

Did you have to choose the Albion over anything?

Lost my saturday job after asking to leave early so i could jump on the seagull special to Northampton.

Cancelled my first ever job interview to travel to Lincoln for a midweek game (rearrange the interview at amex at a more convenient date and got the job) :wozza:

Missed a family wedding down in Plymouth after dropping the wife and little ones off in devon i went to a slightly more important fixture at Hereford:moo: (the couple are now divorced whilst we are still in the football league)

What have you given up for the Albion?

I cut my holiday in Spain short by 2 days to make it back for the play offs semis last season. Great decision that was especially as I had to convince the Mrs that this was a chance of a life time and I would make it up to her. Epic fail on many levels

Money and time. At my time of life I can't afford to waste either.

This Saturday, I'm giving up the opportunity to spend an evening socialising with my missis and another couple, of which the female half gets right on my tits, to travel down to the Amex to watch us play Millwall. Result.

I missed a friends wedding in 1981. Turned out to be a good decision as I saw us win 3 nil at Palace, and they ended up getting divorced a couple of years later.

Also, once spent only 28 hours in Australia, as having gone there, needed to get back to see us in the play off final vs Notts County in 91. When asked by immigration officer how long I intended to spend there, and having told him just over 24 hours, it was the closest I think I have been to the Customs Officer
putting on their marigolds, and undertaking an 'internal' on me !

I have given up saturday cricket when the albion are at home.

Didn't go down particularly well..but hey. At 55 coming up I should have retired from cricket ages ago anyway.

I finished a contract in Saudi Arabia and was taking a leisurely vacation in the far east in Thailand and was in Singapore wondering what to do next.

That was when I discovered that Brighton had reached the FA cup semi-final (I'd not been following the progress) so caught first flight home two days before the match at Highbury and managed to get a ticket from a mate.
