What is it with Peterborough and strikers?!

How do they manage it? Consistently seem to have someone new banging them in when they let a 'star' striker go. Probably a lot to do with the way they play under Ferguson.

Mclean
CMS
Boyd
Gayle
and now it seems like this Assombalonga and Barnett have taken the baton.

I have a lot of time for peterborough and their all out attacking style. Great chairman as well!

Their strikeforce this season cost over £2.5 million, which is considerably more than most of League One, so not only should they smash plenty of goals, but their notoriously poor defence won't be tested much by the likes of Swindon, Colchester and Carlisle. They will of course, get promoted under a hail of goals, and then promptly concede a stack more once they start back in the Championship again.

And so the cycle continues.

They don't seem to do so well away from Peterboro when they get sold

Probably because whoever they sign for, usually at a vastly inflated fee, don't go on all-out attack for 95 minutes - CMS is a very good example!

Correct. If you have a manager steeped in caution and not prepared to consider any option other than that set in stone and carried out to the letter of the law for three and a half years, then these strikers will struggle. We will see the best of CMS when he returns because OG is a thinking manager and will play to his strengths.

No one was wasted more under Poyet than CMS.

And he said he was going the build the team around him, but then he also said 4-4-2 was his favorite formation with the right players at his disposal....Cms could be a real star under Garcia, I can't wait to see him playing around and off Ulloa.
