Nick Cave, if you count all his guises together - The Birthday Party/ Bad Seeds / Grinderman / book siginings

Probably U2 next, but only once since 1981.

Possibly Billy Bragg in 3rd, since there was a time in the 1980s when he cropped up on the bill at just about every event going. Or perennial bridesmaids Delta 5, who supported everyone who ever played in London in the early 80s, but never made the big step up. Of the bands I've specifically paid to see though, probably Gogol Bordello.

U2
Springsteen
Waterboys

Does this confirm that the Wboys have been touring non-stop since 1983?

British Sea Power
Electric Soft Parade
Cold Pumas

My most seen non Brighton band is probably Babyshambles/Pete Doherty or Bloc Party, not 100% on that though.

Most seen non British band is Deerhunter, I think.

In the field
James Brown was absolutely phenomenal.

Must have seen him half a dozen times, the last of which was as the warm up act for the RHCP.

Babyshambles is my most non-seen band, since they've been booked to play at 4 festivals I've been at, and PD has failed to show up every time.

Was equalled by The Horrors, but I finally got to see them at the 5th attempt.

In about 2/3 years of catching them/him as much as I could, in the dark days of the tabloid hysteria, I didn't have a single no-show.

I can confirm that I have NEVER seen the Waterboys

Perhaps like me you've seen them but tried to blot it from your memory? First song was great as I recall, but then it descended into tedious and interminable cack. I got bored and went to the pub after 2.5 hours. God only knows how much longer they played on for...
