I was quite surprised they were still selling blue shirts in the club shop last week (I was there for the international, the tickets were comps)....on another note my sons U9 football team has been chosen to do the guard of honour for the Cardiff V Manchester United match in November. That could be a tricky one for him, he's Brighton through and through!

When we played Cardiff away last season, their club had given out free red scarves to their fans. Some Brighton fans got hold of them as well. Many Cardiff fans were wearing them but some were thrown at the pitch.

Interesting to see that 11 of those clubs no longer grace the top division...

Is it though? That was 50 years ago. Even nine years ago TEN of the teams in the top flight were different to those there now. This just shows the obsession with the prem being the be all and end all, whilst the rest of football goes on quietly in the background. There were nine different teams in 2006-07.
