How much have Forest received from their "sponsor" for shirt advertising?
...I really don't see what your point is here?
The big, and currently successful English club's shirts are worn by all sorts of kids all around the world, and especially in the middle and far east. Companies get good value in paying to advertise on those shirts.
How many will be wanting Palarse shirts compared to Manure or Chelsea?
Forest is a little different, but their owner is trying to make them a team that sell shirts in his country in the same way. Still no justification for such a big deal right now though, other than to get around FFP. As always, there are people who will bend any rules. This is why FFP and salary caps can never work.
Yes, clearly you're right, that's the nature of sponsorship.I really don't see what your point is here?

Reading that I think it would be fair to assume it's between 500k and a million. So what are we getting from Amex?
Plus £20m/year from AON for sponsorship of their training ground and kit. Disgusting really.
Yeah you're quite right, as said that's what sponsorship is all about.I don't see the problem. The premier league, and Man U in particular, will be seen by millions globally every week. Major sponsors are going to be prepared to pay big money to get sort of coverage; why should Man U undersell themselves? I wouldn't be surprised if our deal with Amex is one of the biggest in the Championship based on us having the biggest home gates by a fair margin.
Yeah you're quite right, as said that's what sponsorship is all about.
Right up until the point when you're asked to compete with them.
Because it's not just shirts and training ground.
Chances are the Old Trafford dug-outs, and all things in between, are generating more money than Palace's shirts.
Remind though, how much debt is Utd in?
Ok Arsenal have got there on a budget, by virtue of the appalling way the other Premier League clubs have been run and the Champions League.
But that has come at a cost, £1,200 seasons tickets, to name one.
I'm not sure how the debt with Man Utd works, but isn't it the case that they are a very profitable club and are not going to fall foul of FFP. My understanding was that the company that owns Man Utd FC is the one that carries the debt, which is serviced by the millions that Man Utd make each year. I've never really got my head around it to be honest.
Man Utd WERE a profitable club, the Glazers then borrowed the money to buy the club and saddled the club with the debt, which is serviced by the revenues generated by the club.
As Forest, well they have totally exploited a massive loophole in the FFP calculations and you can't really blame them for doing it.
