Cant see him in the clubs official team photo unless my old eyes are very bad it could be him next to Kaz but not sure ?

It's the lack of the (formerly) trade-mark hairstyle. I had to look twice as well.

Possibly because a team photo is needed by other clubs for their matchday programme, BBC/Sky/ITV/BT and newspapers etc. for stock, and the club shop for posters, mouse mats etc. Once the season is well underway, the moment has passed.
