Just a quick heads up, Mo's 5000m kicks off @ 5:45pm.
Fingers crossed for a historic double.

That is all.

I think so too.

A win tonight and he'd be only the second man, after Kenenisa Bekele, to have held the World 5000m, World 10000m, Olympic 5000m and Olympic 10000m titles all at the same time.

I don't understand this at all. Shouldn't we be talking about how attractive he is to the opposite (or same even) sex, the true mark of athletics greatness

*ahem* Farah IS already the holder of the World 5000m title.....

So he is. Maybe the BBC should have been saying that he will be the only athlete other than Bekele who will have won all four titles in only one Olympics and the immediately following or preceding World Championships, rather than the only athlete other than Bekele to have held all four titles simultaneously since he already does.

Yes, but that doesn't mean Frutos' post was incorrect.

Pedant alert!

It kind of does. Frutos starts his post with "A win tonight....", meaning that if Mo doesn't win tonight the rest of his post won't be true. Hans' post says that he already does hold all those titles, so the "A win tonight..." bit is irrelevant.

I'm sorry, it's been a pedant type of day....

Nice run from Adam Gemili in the 200m semis to make the final tomorrow.

Seems like a lovely guy too.

Well done Adam Gemili 19.98 :drink:

Apologies for my mistake.

It may not change anything, in that case, from a historical perspective but I'd still LOVE to see him win Gold tonight.

Absolutely superb, only the second British athlete in history to break 20 seconds for the 200m.
I missed who the first was?

I'm the one who should apologise! Pedantry is very tiresome.

I would love to see him win, and can't really see him losing tbh.....
