The Style Council - 'Money Go Round' was like a socialist manifesto you can dance to. How the seven minute version didn't bring down Thatcher, I'll never know. Incredible track.

You could say 90% of that Top 40 are quality songs with most still known today, could you say that about the current Top 40 or in fact anything over the past 15 years?

Have to agree, that's some top 40 compared to today's. Numbers in the 30s positions probably sell more than a no.1 today. And yes, so many ate still frequently played today. Doubt that will be so with today's in 2040!
