[Albion] 70 pies thrown away in Away Stand

They didn't sell at £3.90 so the staff ate a few and tossed the rest.

Meanwhile, there was NO food left in the ESU post match, but in the away end they had a massive amount left over which, rather than move to another stand to sell, they tossed away.

New caterers, sure. But that is schoolboy stuff isn't it? Barber, have a word.

Surely they can be put to better use than thrown in the bin? This sort of thing frustrates me.

Have you e-mailed Paul Barber?

People kid themselves about the pies, at £3.90 they are shite value and no wonder they didn't sell in the Away end.

Working on the railways as I believe you do, you'd be the expert on shit value for money.

Throwing the pies away is surely an absolute waste though, there have to be better options than that.

Don't they sell around 10,000 pies each game, seems they are not struggling to find punters willing to buy

If you come from somewhere like Derby where you can get a decent pie for a couple of quid you are not going to pay rip off prices here which is why they slung them away, why they didn't take them to other outlets only Sodexo can answer.

So we whine and moan when there are not enough pies. Now we whine and moan when some are left over at the end of a game.

Bored.

I think the OP was more concerned about the way the pies were thrown away at the end , as to there being too many .

How is this a whine or a moan? Bore off.

My point is that the 70 pies should have been moved to somewhere there would be sold. Or have a chance of being solved. Throwing them away is a ridiculous thing to do, such a waste.
