Oscar Garcia was convinced Albion should have had a penalty in their 2-1 defeat to Derby today.
But he admitted lapses cost his side as they went down for the third time in eight days.
Leo Ulloa put the Seagulls in front – the third time they had led 1-0 in as many matches.
But Chris Martin’s double ultimately settled the contest.
David Lopez’s goalbound free-kick seemed to be blocked by a Derby arm with the score at 1-1.
Oscar said: “It was clear but these things happen.
“I hope one day it will be different and we will have a bit of luck in our favour.”
Albion’s three matches so far this term have followed a similar patttern.
Oscar said: “It was more or less like the other games.
“We had many chances to score. We weren’t clinical in front of goal.
“They had three chances and scored two goals and this, for me, was the difference.”
