New manager has given game time to two youngsters who never got near the pitch under Gus.

There was a spell in the second half when we really were going all out attack. If a few chances had actually been converted we might all be celebrating now.

Referee was a prick and affected the outcome of the game. We won't always have useless mongs like him in charge.

Nobody got injured.

It wasn't a foregone conclusion. Last season if we'd have gone 1-0 up you'd have known we were guaranteed something from the game. All of a sudden that element of unpredictability is back. Using the same logic, we may yet come from behind to win a game this season

Opposition seem to be converting every good chance they get while we are having no breaks in front of goal.

It can't carry on like that.

Positive we won't finish in the top 6 unless we sign a decent striker, LB and attacking midfielder, we simply can't wait until either CMS or Hoskins return

Completely agree, it will take a few months and then we will suddenly click. In the meantime blooding Ince, Maksi, March & JFC at this part of the season will pay off in the second half, these things have to be done and is a good move by OG.

Slow start, Mid table at Christmas and a strong finish in the New Year with the team pinging the ball about and working as a unit will be fine for me this season.

How do you know that?

It may well take a few months and nothing changes?

Let's not forget it took a while for Gus to find his groove. He won his first game, granted, but after that it was a long time before we got another win.

All new managers need time to bed in, and Garcia hasn't even had a full pre season, joining up closer to this season than last.

It won't. I thought there were quite q few positives today even though we lost. It's good to see the ball being moved around faster, It's good to see earlier crosses being put in and it's good to see us being prepared to shoot from distance. 3 lads from the development squad made good league debuts for us and it's easy to see that this season we're less likely to get out muscled in midfield. Ulloa looks like he's going to get a hat full of goals this season and I know as soon as we get our first win this season all the drama queens on here tonight will disappear again.

Last season if we had gone ahead Gus would have replaced a striker with a midfielder, thats why we had a string of draws at home at matches we should have won.

I'm with you on this one. Was a big Gus fan but his system's flaw was its inflexibility. Today it was still exciting when we were behind rather than a lost cause. It's frustrating when long balls squander possession but the strategy now seems to be get the ball in opponents half THEN try to play. Judging by the sustained pressure, it worked. In other games, we will score for sure. I also think CMS will be much more suited to Garcia's approach and will get goals.

Faith.

It takes time to implement changes and getting beat during this transition isn’t really important. We are trying to up our tempo from last year, and when we went behind today we were able to have a glimpse of the way Oscar wants us to play. We have just got to do it for longer periods of the game.

Anyone who expects results over night will be disappointed so it’s best to sit back and enjoy the football which so far, despite the result, have had more exciting moments than predictable ones.
