Albion were left cursing their luck as they let another lead slip today.
The Seagulls went down 2-1 at home to Derby, despite going ahead through Leo Ulloa’s second goal of the season.
Chris Martin scored twice to give the Rams the points.
Ulloa was inches from dragging his side back level when his header hit the inside of the post and stayed out.
Albion were also convinced they should have been awarded a penalty at 1-1 when David Lopez’s goalbound free-kick seemed to be blocked by an outstretched Derby arm.
But referee Andy D’Urso waved play on.
Ulloa struck in style on 17 minutes by guiding home a header from Inigo Calderon’s cross.
Martin poked in an equaliser 11 minutes later after left-back Craig Forsyth played the ball into the goalmouth.
The winner came in only the second minute of the second half whenKieran Freeman slid a terrific ball across the goalmouth for Martin to finish at the far post.
Albion strove to get back on terms.
But Ulloa was denied by the woodwork and Lee Grant made sharp saves from Will Buckley and Kemy Agusten.
