10:30pm
Stephens made*a brilliant reflex save from Ulloa's header in added time and two follow-ups were blocked in the goalmouth.

10:26pm
Newport fans were thoroughly enjoying themseleves and were happy to see Ulloa head off target from Agustien's deep cross.*

10:22pm
There was little hint that Albion might get back into the tie - until Maksimenko found Barnes well placed on 112 minutes. But he sent a weary shot too high.

10:08pm
Newport went further ahead - and had home fans heading for the exits - when WASHINGTON won the ball and went through to round Ankergren and score.

10:01pm
Ulloa was sent on in place of Forster-Caskey.

10:00pm
Newport went ahead in the 94th minute and it was sub CROW again, cutting in from the left and curling a fabulous shot across Ankergren and into the far top corner.

9:56pm
Albion attacked the South Stand in the first period of extra-time.

9:50pm
Brilliant work to win back possession by El-Abd sparked an Albion move which saw Buckley turn his defender and fire in a shot which was deflected for a corner.
It came to nothing but, when the ball again reched Buckley, his super cross was headed just over by Barnes.
Full-time: Albion 1 Newport 1

9:47pm
There were off-target efforts at both ends as the two sides chased a winner.

9:41pm
Neat passing worked Chapman in behind the defence in the 87th minute but he miscued his shot horribly wide of the far post.
Then Barnes threaded a neat pass through for Buckley, whose shot was deflected behind by Hughes' excellent last-ditch tackle.
Barnes met the resulting corner with a glancing header which was headed off the line by Sandell.
That took the game towards the 90 minute mark - but*a minimum of nine minutes were added.

9:34pm
Ince was warmly applauded when he went off in the 83rd minute to be replaced by Bridcutt.

9:31pm
Newport levelled when a great ball was played in from their right and CROW glanced a header past Ankergren.

9:29pm
Att: 8.409 (493 away)

9:29pm
The hotly disputed red card had changed the mood around the stadium.
Minshull had a shot in the area blocked as Newport sense an equaliser.

9:22pm
Newport sent on Hughes for Anthony, who was stretchered off.
Maksimenko was sent on for LuaLua.

9:21pm
The match flared into controversy when Calderon was sent-off after a full-blooded tussle with Anthony right in front of the benches. Both players needed treatment and there was outrage when Calderon was shown red as he got up. Anthony looked badly injured.

9:13pm
Yakubu was booked for fouloing Forster-Caskey in a central position about 25 yards out. David Lopez took the free-kick and his curler flicked off the wall before dropping just over the bar, although Stephens seemed to have it covered.

9:08pm
Buckley then flashed a shot agonisingly close to the far post as Albion stepped up a gear.
They could easily have had a penalty when Forster-Caskey seemed to be bundled over in the box. But ref Malone was well-placed and waved away appeals.
El-Abd was next to try his luck with a sumptuous volley of a dropping ball well outside the box and his effort flew inches past the far post.

9:02pm
Newport made a good start to the half with two shots flying across goal - one with the help of a deflection.
Then Ankergren had to dive to tip a cross away from the waiting Zebroski.
As Albion countered swiftly, Buckley's low cross was turned wide of the near post by Barnes.

8:56pm
The second half is now in progress.

8:41pm
Albion showed good invention from a right-wing corner by chipping the ball to Forster-Caskey unmarked five yards outside the box. He took the ball down cleanly but saw his left-foot shot held by Stephens.
Albion then had to deal with County's seventh corner of the half before heading to the changing room with a narrow lead.
Half: Albion 1 Newport 0

8:34pm
Forster-Caskey was booked on 43 minutes for a foul on Minshull but Willmott's resulting free-kick from long range sailed hopelessly into the North Stand.

8:33pm
LuaLua picked off a Newport pass on halfway and made ground before supplying Barnes, who had looped around outside him. The striker's shot hit the net with some in the West Stand cheering a goal - but it was the outside of the netting with the ball having flown wide of the near post.

8:31pm
Buckley was next to have a go, cutting in from the right and shooting low with his left foot. There were oooooohhhs as Stephens dived to his left to gather but the ball might have been heading just wide of the near post anyway.

8:29pm
Agustien then tried his luck from outside the box but there was less pace on his effort than Ince had managed earlier. Stephens held the ball as it bounced off the turf in front of him.

8:27pm
That Matt Richards in the previous tweet was the former Albion loanee, of course.

8:23pm
David Lopez broke up what looked like being*a dangerous County counter-raid and beat three men down the right before cutting in. But his low cross was too close to Stephens, who this time gathered comfortably.

8:22pm
Albion also had their moments. Both Newport*wing-backs looked in trouble defensively and Stephens was very shaky when Ince let fly from 25 yards. The keeper could only parry the ball out in front of him but Barnes failed to make proper contact as he tried to convert the rebound and, when Buckley put it away, he was offside.

8:17pm
Sandell was then booked for taking down Buckley from behind. David Lopez whipped in the free-kick from the right but it was headed away and Newport sprung clear on a counter which saw Jolley flash a shot over the bar from a position to the right of goal.

8:14pm
That goal lifted home fans - and a clever Barnes flick almost opened up the defence soon after. But Newport had a decent effort when left wing-back Sandell chipped a ball into the box and Zebroski connected with a volley as the ball dipped over his shoulder - but straight at Ankergren.
The keeper was seriously tested on 23 minutes as he back-pedalled to fingertip Zebroski's dipping header over the bar.

8:09pm
Albion stitched some nice one and two-touch passing together in the 18th minute and it brought them the lead. The ball was worked right to Buckley and cut it back inside for BARNES to shoot low past Stephens.

8:08pm
Next time Newport got the ball in the box, Jolley had a shot blocked behind for a corner. That flag kick flicked off an Albion head for another one - County's fifth corner in the first 15 minutes - but it was cleared.

8:01pm
It was clear Newport would work hard to stop Albion passing the ball out from the back.

8:00pm
Albion’s former programme editor, long-time fan and campaigner Roy Chuter, who died recently, was remembered ahead of kick-off. John Baine read a poem in his honour, which was followed by a minute’s applause.
Oncce the action started, Albion, attacking the*South Stand, got a couple of dangerous crosses into the Newport*box, one of which saw Forster-Caskey force the ball home. but he was offside.*
Newport responded with a ball to the far post which Chapman headed weakly wide.
But it was a fairly lively start.

7:36pm
Albion set to go like this we believe...
******************* ANKERGREN
DAVID**** GREER*** EL-ABD** CALDERON
********************** INCE
****** F-CASKEY****** AGUSTIEN
BUCKLEY*********BARNES********* LUALUA

7:30pm
So here we go then. The first competitive game here at The Amex - though it will feel more like the real thing,*I suspect, when Derby visit in the Championship on Saturday.
It feels more like the run-up to a pre-season game here inside The Amex right now with 15 minutes until kick-off.
Here's your team news...
