It's how you react to these disappointments which is important and making sure they don’t affect you going into the next game."

Defender Adam El-Abd says Albion are not leaving anything to chance ahead of the Capital One Cup tie against Newport County AFC.The Football League new boys kick-started life back in the fourth tier of English football with a blistering 4-1 win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday, and the Egyptian defender says the Seagulls must not dwell on their own late loss at Leeds.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “With Oscar, Ruben and Joaquin we will be doing our research and video analysis and making sure we leave no stone unturned, as we prepare for everything Newport throw at us.
“There were lots of positives to take away from Saturday at Leeds; Elland Road is never an easy place to go to, especially on the opening day of the season when they have got a packed house.
“It's how you react to these disappointments which is important and making sure they don’t affect you going into the next game."
Oscar Garcia takes charge of his first competitive fixture at the Amex tonight and Albion’s longest serving player has highlighted home form as integral to any success.
“Obviously after the disappointment of Saturday we want to quickly put that to the back of our minds and concentrate on tonight. It is a chance to get off to a winning start at the Amex and our home form is crucial for us this year if we are to challenge.
“Hopefully we can pass the ball like the way we can and impose our style of play against County and get a good result.”
