So the Amex actually is full of travellers, while there aren't any traveller sites in SE25.

Oh the irony. I guess that's what happens when your tinpot fans pluck a pointless slur at random in a desperate attempt to offer a comeback :)

Chavs would have made far more sense for us. At least the Croydon Facelift is actually well known, we had the riots, etc. "Pikies" just doesn't make any sense. There is a traveller site in the borough (as with almost all London boroughs) but it's hardly synonymous with the place.

These Pikies ain't plastics, they originally set up camp when the Goldstone was vacated.

What I want to know is why can Se20 spell synonymous correctly, but not pikeys?

Spell check - makes even the idiots look intelligent....

Think they have actually come here to view the stadium with wonder and awe. Nothing like it in SE25 and never will be.:amex:

Are they your fingers, or someone else on the "firm"

Am in a firm now? Cool!

Yes, my fingers. I was stuck at Norwood waiting for a connecting train so thought I might as well flick a few Vs whilst I was there. Childish, definitely but I'd hope for the same from any Palace fans passing The Amex.

Try it sometime, it'll remind you of supporting Palace as a youngster and the silly things you did like booing Brighton every time our name was read out by James Alexander Gordon on a Saturday evening. I bet you did that. I did with your lot.

To the range of tedious homophobic slurs used (by many teams, not that it excuses us) to describe Brighton.

We aren't known as the "pikies" by any other club. That's Gillingham. As a slur, it looks like you've just borrowed that from them during your time groundsharing. It just makes no sense applied to Palace.

I'm not SE20, and I don't like the traveller pejorative any more than I do the shit homophobic ones. I was not aware that it had a standardised spelling.

Normally when your result was read out by JAG on a Saturday, it was normally followed by " ha ha, weeds lost again "

There you go. I try to keep the conversation at a personable level but you have to persist with little wind-ups. And this is why I dislike the Palace fans on here so much.
