We are disappointed. We won't settle for a draw, that’s the bottom line now, we are that positive and we are a great team."
Liam Bridcutt
Liam Bridcutt cut a despondent figure after Albion's injury time defeat at Elland Road. The midfielder was frustrated to see a hard earned point snatched away in the dying seconds but says the side will bounce back.
“We are disappointed. We won't settle for a draw, that’s the bottom line now, we are that positive and we are a great team, so losing here today was a massive defeat for us.
“We have to pick ourselves up and go again. We had a similar result at the start of last season and that turned out to be a good season.
“The first game of the season is always tough as you look to get back into the swing of things. It wasn’t one of our best performances but it’s good to be back.
“Coming away to Leeds is always tough and always a massive game. Although it was a sell-out crowd we did not let them get on us. We just played our game and were a bit unlucky at the end.”
Meanwhile Kemy Agustien made his Albion debut against Leeds and Bridcutt says he is relishing the opportunity to link up with Albion’s latest signing.
“I knew Kemy from watching him at Swansea and you can see he is a good player. He likes to get on the ball and he is a confident lad. He links up well and I’m looking forward to playing alongside him this season.”
