Every time I've seen him against us, he's looked impressive.
Can play upfront, in the hole or (by virtue of being left-footed) on the left.
Good whilst driving at defenders or getting onto the sort of incisive passes we will specialise in, once we're up and running with Oscar's style.
Would give us both attacking midfielder options, as well as a different sort of striking option.

Leeds accepted a bid from palace last year, so can't be too expensive.
Only downside I can see is that they're currently above us in the league.

Sign him up!

A squad number of 44 aswell!! Odd. Agree with the OP though, he's been impressive every time I've seen him.

I think Gus told him to turn down our offer and stay at Leeds as he'd be managing there soon :jester:

What about wages? I expect he is on a good wedge at Leeds and we are not known for throwing money around. If you take off your Albion tinted specs, can anyone see a good reason why he would swap Leeds for Brightn?

He would have been on the same wages as CMS , you have to bear in mind that Leeds at the time were cash strapped. We wouldn't be able to match his wages now after he signed a 3 year deal and Leeds have seen financial investment.

I've always rated McCormack, he just seems to be one of those players that is in the right place at the right time. Would have been amazing to swap him gor CMS.

At least signing him would prevent his inevitable goals against us.

Exactly, why sign for us when he is already at a bigger club?

A year ago they didn't want to extend his contract (he had one year left) and he was on his way out the door as Leeds wanted to sell him instead of letting him go for nothing. Leeds had an initial offer on the table from Palace until several other clubs outbid them and these were considered. More investment came into Leeds United last summer and McCormack signed a 3 year deal but until that point we were in contention to swap CMS for him.

Maybe for a better chance of first team football?

We need a left-back more.

Kenny Sansom plays left-back, understands the Brighton v Palace rivalry, is a former England international player, and probably would play for a roof over his head and some spending money.

I understand he's ex-Palace but he'd fit the bill nicely.
