There are often even cheaper fares available on Chiltern Railways from London Marylebone to Birmingham Moor Street or Snow Hill. They are stopping trains and it takes a little longer, but a good way of saving money.

Just a thought.

I got mine through Southern Rail and paid £40 for two people to get there and back.

If there are 4 of you travelling London Midland do an excellent groupsave offer of £14 return from London Euston to the newly renovated Birmingham New Street.

Yeah comfortably, only a good 25 minute walk from St Andrews

At least it won't involve trudging through the snow this time :lolol: Allow half an hour to 35 minutes if you want to walk back at a leisurely rather than brisk pace and take note of post #10.
