Sad news has reached me that Albion fan, campaigner, writer and wit (remember that response to the supposed banning order from Bellotti's solicitors?) Roy Chuter has died.

I knew Roy (nothing like as well as Attila, Vicar and others) - we'd had him on the Roar, and found him great company. This is a sad day.

I've just spoken to Attila who is naturally in pieces.

Rest in peace, Roy. Your worries are over.

Bloody hell, sad news indeed.
Didn't know Roy personally but knew of him and he did so much in helping The Albion.

R.I.P. Roy.

RIP Roy. Without guys like Roy and the rest finding out the truth about Archer & Bellotti we would no longer be supporting the one and only Brighton and Hove Albion.

Shocking, shocking news.

Not only one of the Albion's best but one of life's.

One of us in every respect.

Can anyone dig out a copy of that masterpiece he sent back to Bellotti's solicitors with all the appalling errors corrected?

That was genius.

Very sad news about Roy, used to play football with him for HSB Lancing on occassion in the early eighties. Brilliant mind and great campaigner, will be sadly missed. Perhaps a blue memorial stone at Amex would be worth organising?
I'd be happy to chip in.
RIP Roy.
