Former Managing Director of Bradford City where he steered the club into two administrations.
In June 2004, after ten years at Bradford, Harvey joined Leeds United as chief executive officer. In May 2007, the club were dragged in to administration. Harvey, along with former club chairman, Ken Bates and former director, Mark Taylor, quickly formed a new company called Leeds United Football Club Limited and bought the club back. After months of legal and monetary disputes, Harvey, Bates and Taylor won back full control of the club.
In 2011 he became a Director of the Football League.
