Midfielder David may yet be seen in Albion colours next season
Spanish midfielder David might be on his way back to Albion after all.
The former Athletic de Bilboa man could sign a one-year contract with a one-year option, according to a source in Spain unconnected to the player.
David’s representative was unwilling to offer any comment last night.
But it is no secret his client would love to return to The Amex.
David recently said an emotional farewell to Seagulls supporters after the offer of a one-year contract was withdrawn.
There were suggestions last night that he could be back with Albion after all.
That would delight David’s army of fans at The Amex, who nicknamed him Spanish Dave.
He has been tentatively linked – but no more than that – with several clubs in both England and his homeland in recent weeks.
David has been training alone at home in the Rioja region and is keen to have his future sorted this week.
