Trains are all cocked up at the moment - big signalling problem at London Bridge causing 1 hour delays.

And you can't really use Victoria as there is 45 minute delays via Selhurst due to safety checks on the line.

And there is also track circuit failures affecting signalling at Lewes causing 20 minute delays.

Good luck to those using trains this evening !!

At least they are real problems instead of the normal stuff like "Wrong kind of sun in the sky"

You say that - the Selhurst problems are apparently down to reports of problems with the track - probably down to 50C + temperatures in the rails !!

I can confirm there are delays everywhere. Also that your chances of an airconditioned carriage are 50/50, that leaves fall in autumn, that there's a good chance of snow and frost in the winter and that bears occasioinally take a dump near trees.

To be fair though, the trains have pretty much played a blinder during the current hot spell. :clap2:

Played a blinder? Do you mean they have done what they were supposed to have done?

One thing I don't understand is if there is a 1 hour delay, as long as you were not waiting for the first train that was delayed surely you wouldn't notice as the train you normally catch is the same time, just the train that was suppose to go an hour later

Well yeah, except that if the preceding train arrives just before the train scheduled an hour later, it then means you will be stuck behind it on the way home, unless you are lucky enough to have a train skipping some of the stations the preceding train is calling at.
