Half of me really hopes Bridders gets a game so that he can show off his talents but the other half says "hope he doesn't because maybe top clubs will come a'sniffing".

Will be in the crowd to support England but will want them both to have good games (if they play), not a good combination

Unbelievable. THIS IS ENGLAND. I hope they both have stinkers and score 2 o.g's each. They are playing for SCOTLAND. The enemy.

What, and carry that form into the beginning of the season? I hope they both play brilliantly despite Scotland losing.

I know the media love to drum up this rivalry, but do you really consider Scotland "the enemy" when it comes to football?

They are a tiny insignificant football nation these days (ranked 50th) who have been utter utter gash for well over a decade, and we have ten times their population. English success shouldn't be measured by whether or not we can beat Scotland. We should be looking to compete against France and Spain, similar sized nations with similar resources. Historically we have competed well with these two, not so much these days.

Oh, and of course I hope we win, but I'm really not going to be all that fussed if we don't. The Eng-Scot friendy is such a nothing game these days.

If Gary Hooper was to play for England against scotland (lol) do you think any Scottish people would be hoping he scores and England do well?

When England play Argentina they sell record ammounts of Argie shirts in Scotland.

That's because the Scottish have a fat chip on their shoulder about the English.
The English generally couldn't give two $hits about the Scottish.

Simple.

When you were in the RAF regiment did you shoot any Scots?
As much as I agree with your assessment of Scotland not being the enemy, that really is a very poor argument.

I doubt he shot many Australians either. Maybe we should let the Aussies win in the cricket?

All this. This close to the season, I'd be more keen to see Bridders and GG playing really well than England winning a meaningless friendly.

To be honest, I would like to see Scotland win if they're playing. Something needs to happen to shake up those dinosaurs at the FA.

I doubt a scotland win in a friendly will "shake" anything up at the FA. Could be wrong though.
