I remember him playing the part of a fly-boy chairman who takes over, then sells the clubs ground from under their feet. When Archer did the same , i was struck (at that time) that no-one had seemingly remembered Smith's role in that series......it was almost like Archer had watched it.
So shout out; Can anyone remember the name of that drama?- it's not been listed anywhere in his obits or career review.
