Maybe off to Barcelona?

OSCAR GARCIA JUNYENT: Still only 40, Oscar trained as both a player and a coach at Barcelona. He made his mark as a manager last season in Israeli football, where he won the league title with Maccabi Tel-Aviv. This summer he replaced Gustavo Poyet as manager of Brighton but a call from Barcelona could see him leave the Championship club without having taking charge of a competitive game with the Seagulls.

Pinch me, the Brighton manager even being linked to the Barcelona job? You'd have been laughed at as some sort of nutter a couple of years ago for even suggesting this could happen...

How long before Oscar is accused of "whoring himself......."

Why hasn't he come out and distanced himself from the job? We need someone in charge who wants to manage Brighton, not someone who's after a bigger job.

it shows how respected he is at Barca. he was expected to be going there as assistant when leaving Tel Aviv. but clearly he didnt and i dont see he would tear up a contract that the ink hasnt dried on, or they'd plump for him in the hot seat at this point.
