Said it before and will say it again, Barber is a businessman and will continue to hike prices up until we vote with our feet. He is just doing his job but FFP will not work imo until they cap players wages.

What is baffling is that everyone in the game knows what needs to happen. Reduce the players wages or add a cap and everything can then reduce in price. It is so obvious to everyone, the game is being crippled by such an obvious flaw.

A Salary cap won't happen because we would lose all the best players to other European leagues.

It needs to happen throughout Europe. Does a salary cap contravene European law?

Exactly, it would have to be introduced by UEFA and even then players would probably find somewhere else to makes millions.

Its transfer/signing on fees and agents fees that are the bigger problem not salaries.

In Germany wages are similar or more, they just do less transfers - why do we have to buy or get new players every six months? some clubs now sign people just so they can sell a new shirt with a new name on it.

And why do we have to change the shirt every season? We could do 16 years of replicas soon and rotate them!
