This evening, him/her was interrupted by some young revelers wandering down the middle of the road, so drove off and parked up 50 metres down.

I would suggest phoning 101 for non police emergencies to have them come check it out, but you say the person in question is there for only half an hour? It takes longer than that to get through the menus and being on hold so I guess that's a non starter/
