I assume you are referring to Charlie Oatway Junior .

Scraping the barrel is an unfortunate choice of phrase .

I found that too. I assumed it was some ill-qualified office junior writing on the Pompey website. But no. It's the Portsmouth News' chief Pompey reporter

Clearly The News has decided not to employ a proper reporter to follow their local non-league and nearly "may as well be" non-league scenes. It's all good. Let's hope Pompey are a non league club in just under a year.
