Albion's*young guns have been handed a chance to make an early impression on head coach Oscar Garcia.
Seven of last season’s development squad have travelled to Spain with the senior pros.
Solly March, Jake-Forster Caskey, George Barker and Vitalijs Maksimenko are in the 25-strong party in Segovia.
So too are Brennan Dickenson, Rohan Ince and Courtney Richards. The latter, according to an Argus source, has made the trip because the proposed signing of an un-named Spanish midfielder has yet to materialise.
New capture Adam Chicksen from MK Dons is expected to make his debut against La Liga outfit Getafe tomorrow night.
Liam Bridcutt is also with the squad at their base North-West of Madrid after nursing a foot injury and sitting out the opening friendly victory at Whitehawk.
Craig Mackail-Smith has travelled as well as he continues his recovery from a ruptured Achilles.
The two significant absentees are injured striker Will Hoskins and fringe midfielder Ryan Harley.
Hoskins has stayed behind on medical advice to continue his rehabilitation from cruciate knee ligament damage but Harley’s days appear to be numbered after he featured in the Whitehawk game.
The Albion players were put through their paces by Garcia yesterday in two training sessions on their first full day in Segovia.
The development squad are in Portugal for a simultaneous two-match tour.
