It's a shame somebody doesn't do it for the Premier League players to help get them a fair deal.

Have read a couple of autobiographies of players from that time, had nothing but praise for him

Tony Greig put everything on the line for this. He lost the Sussex and England captaincy and the respect and friendship of many.
His own family turned against him and he was forced to forge a new life down under.
Packer needed Greig. They were both driven individuals. Greig had the cricketing contacts. Packer had the money and the medium necessary for this new cricket.
Footballers owe a debt of gratitude to Jimmy Hill and Rupert Murdoch. Cricketers owe a debt of gratitude to Kerry Packer and Tony Greig. ( Funny how two Australians have influenced two leading sports so much )

Watched both episodes and had previously read the excellent book by Gideon Haigh "Cricket War".

Apart from the dodgy cricket scenes, the depiction of Hove...the hilarious members reaction when Greigy went to bat, it was a very entertaining way to spend three hours. But jeez the amount of smoking and drinking those Aussies did...every time 'Doug Walter' came into shot he was smoking :).

Recommended!
