Its going to be fast and running with deep deep rough so you need to be on the short stuff.
I like Mickelson and am on at 28/1. I'm also on...
Brandt Snedeker 100/1 and 40/1
Graeme McDowell 33/1
Dustbin Johnson 50/1
Tiger 10/1.

Phil maybe able to play with out a driver like he did at Merion. Someone I know speaks to Billy Foster a lot and he said...
Rough is knee-high in places. Some of it wispy, other bits more thick cabbage. It's running hard and fast. He reckoned you only need driver on 5 and 17 and some may not even take it on any hole. Greens very fast. He said that if the weather stays it could play like Hoylake in 2006.

Phil and Tiger may well dominate.

Pointless going for RMac or Tiger - those bets are for people who haven't got the first clue about golf, unless your betting e/w.

I'm going on

Adam Scott at 20/1
Rickie Fowler at 40/1
Nicolas Colsaerts at 50/1

Both Fowler and Colsaerts have the ability, be interesting to see what they do.

Put more thought than usual into it this year.

Always the same in golf, you take a massive punt before day one at a huge price and risk being out of it - or wait and see if your guy can at least get out without a monster score on the Thursday, but risk him doing well and seeing the price go.

I have basically decided not to back McIlroy any more at short-ish prices. He will win events through brilliance, but is very erratic so for each-way purposes he'd need to be a big price. I see he's out to 28-1 for this, a lot bigger than for the US Open.

I have done Graeme McDowell at 25s, you can get first eight places each-way with BetVictor which gives you a chance, and feel he is more likely to give me at the very least a run for my money.

Just seen he's playing with Tiger - hope that circus isn't a distraction!

Mickelson and Donald, both e/w. Can't remember the odds. Both about 20/1 I think.

BetVictor paying e/w to EIGHT places.
