Isn't that where it all started for him? MacDonald has walked out on Swindon, an opening for Gus perhaps?

Are you sure OP?

Come on, I've put question marks in there and everything, just poking a bit of fune at our departed manaher who seemed desperate to get another job while he was with us, only to find no vacancies after he'd been hoofed out of the Amex. The Swindon job's going to be just about the only opportunity out there for him!

Yeah fair enough. And if he does well there, he might find himself at Accrington Stanley in a couple of years!

I was wondering earlier just now if both Gus and the club misread the situation earlier in the season and both parties had tried to upstage each other leading to a ridiculous fallout?

Did the club think he was going to ditch us so rightly lined up a replacement whilst Gus regularly advertising his brilliance to other clubs realised he was on to a good thing and wanted to stay! By then both had gone too far to turn back!

Probably

Most teams have hit the ceiling apart from the top 4 in each country so that rules Gus Poyet out in all jobs.

It's a bit of a shame that all the "top" jobs have gone. All the time there's not much out there for him he's going to hang on and torment the hell out of us.

No it won't as we are looking at new signings and Oscar is planning ahead. Gus can do what he likes as he has no future anywhere.

This Swindon link isn't a total non-starter you know. They are known to flout the FFP rules, that will appeal to Gus.
