Another reason we should be out of Europe

And how much consideration did these killers give to the human rights of their victims?

"The European Court of Human Rights has ruled the whole life tariffs given to murderer Jeremy Bamber and two other killers breached their human rights".

You do appear very thick but this has been done to death. Do you understand what the European Court of Human Rights actually is?

The European Court of human Rights, as implied by Simster above, has nothing to do with the European Union.

Perhaps he was suggesting that we ACTUALLY (physically) leave Europe? Maybe get towed to the South Pacific, or something?

It's all bloody Europe: European Union, European Court of Human Rights, European Commission - all costing us billions and providing us with nothing but bureaucracy.

Anyway, are you supportive of the human rights of murderers?

It would take us ages to get there (we'd have to go round South America) but pitching up next to Hawaii would be great

Not the pacific, but south for sure, somewhere right on the equator so we can say good bye to seasons, snow and the cold.

Happy days.

Would there be big spiders, though? And hurricanes?

Wether you believe in human rights or not this doesn't mean they will ever be released. No home secretary will want to commit political suicide by releasing killers like these, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley were never released.
BTW is this the fault of Europe too? (from last year).
"Charles Manson is up for parole again, the 12th time since his 1970 conviction. If history is a guide, California's parole board will have little difficulty denying his request yet again at a hearing Wednesday."

There's big spiders already in the UK, thanks to our friend global warming.

Hurricanes aren't a problem, we'll just rebuild every house and building in the UK so that they're extremely strong, a simple "STAY IN YOUR HOMES" national alert is all that's needed and we'll be alright.

Plus, a hurricane would make this country more interesting.

I think the point is we do give murders human rights which makes us better than them as they never gave human rights to their victims.
You think we should be reduced to their level when we deal with them?

In my opinion such people lose all their rights when they commit a crime apart from the right to a fair trial. If they want rights, then don't murder fellow human beings. Simple really.

Jeez. The point is -- just because it has the word European in front of it, it doesn't mean it's anything to do with EU or European Commission or bureaucracy. The European Court of Human rights which has voluntarily been signed up to by 47 European countries , has nothing to do with the EU (28 members). It's got as much to do with the EU as the European Football Championship has. Presumably on your argument we should pull out of that too, because it's got the word European in front of it??

All things are relative though. Tow us to the equator and I reckon we'd see some real nasty big buggers move in, pretty soon. I think the extreme weather systems would be a bit of a shock too.

I've given it some thought, and I they should put us either bang in the middle of the MED (they could evict Malta if necessary) or perhaps somewhere near the Canary Islands.

Edit ; sadly, we wouldn't FIT through into the Med, so the Canaries it is.

I reckon the European Court of Human Rights was too busy saving the Euro and worrying about bendy bananas to apply proper consideration to this case. Crazy times we live in.
