Albion fans can expect a first look at on-trial left-back Nicky Shorey tomorrow.
But the Seagulls are likely to ease their squad back into action in the first match since Oscar Garcia’s was named as head coach.
Shorey is hoping to secure a deal after being let go by Reading recently.
He is likely to feature in the opening friendly of the summer as Albion go to Conference south new boys Whitehawk (3pm). All first team, squad members who have trained this week and some development squad players will get playing time.
Gordon Greer, who spent much of the summer recovering from a knee injury, has been involved in most training sessions this week.
Albion hope to see the Scot play some part at the Enclosed Ground.
Liam Bridcutt and longer term absentees Craig Mackail-Smith and Will Hoskins will not be in action.
Bridcutt is reported to be making good progress from a foot injury and hopes to join the rest of the squad at training soon.
Garcia, who has kept a low profile since his arrival at the club last week, will be keen to see what the players he has been working with can do.
Albion do not have another first-team friendly scheduled until the game at Getafe a week on Wednesday.
They go to Hastings on Tuesday for what is billed as a development squad fixture.
Marcos Painter, the left-back let go by Albion recently, was last night reported to be interesting Championship new boys Yeovil.
