Going for a PB in my 100th parkrun. Failed by a minute. Too hot, started too quickly. Well done 7:18 on your pb. more training needed on my part....

A one year old unresolved ankle/foot injury is stopping me running, and distance walking, so I'm really missing both. Would LOVE to be out there

I'm running the Downham midsummer 5 today, should be a cool 22 at the start, nice! Lol
OK. I now know you are Tony and 7.18 is Owen. I ran 24.37 on 29/6/2013 over 5 minutes from my 3 year old PB. This is not good enough. I am off trekking in California and Utah for a couple of months in September and October. I need to get fit. I need an objective and I need competition. I through down the gauntlet for a NSC Hove Park Run Challenge for the 7 September this year. There can only be one loser. My beer gut, which has 10 days at 5 Ashes tests in the coming weeks.....
Anyone entering let me know and I will formulate the NSC table for the day.

I'm in, I need the motivation and push to get below 21 minutes. We could almost do some sort of on-going NSC mini-league between now and then?
I can't do a mini league as will be cricket drinking on Fridays 12 , 26 July, 2nd and 23rd August. Not conducive for a good 5km. There would also be a lot of holidays over the next few months. If you do start one remember you have accepted the 7 September challenge. 30 seconds behind your new PB on the day will do me.
