Albion’s 2013/14 season is just a month away and the Seagulls kick-off their pre-season campaign against Whitehawk on Saturday.
*
The first of six pre-season friendlies will be played at Whitehawk’s Enclosed Ground, kick-off 3pm, and Head of Football Operations David Burke says the fixture is a vital step in building towards the new campaign.
*
David Burke said, “The players have been working extremely hard since they reported back for pre-season, and the game on Saturday is a chance for them to step up their preparations.
*
“The aim is to give everyone who has been training with the first team a run-out, as well as some of the development squad players.”
*
Meanwhile, Liam Bridcutt is making good progress with his recovery from a foot problem and is hoping to resume training with the rest of the squad soon.
*
Gordon Greer has been involved with the majority of training sessions this week after recovering from a knee injury, with a view to taking part on Saturday.
*
Craig Mackail-Smith and Will Hoskins continue with their rehabilitation from long-term injuries.
*
Tickets for this friendly are pay on the gate only and priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s and over-65s.
