Dropping down a division. Surprising. Thought he was quite good enough for League One.

Been linked to a move back there for ages, as Marshy says, he's a Scunny hero.

I would think he is going to be superb in League 2, thought he could have done better than that. Didn't he turn down Crawley because of money so it must be a emotional thing to go back which is good to hear.

Brian Laws has said he will be highest payed player and its a 3 year contract, hard to turn down considering he moved there as a kid only thing is that his dad and brother/sisters live down here

Just think, he'll be able to live in a lovely converted barn or perhaps a pantiled Georgian house in an historic village for downside of £300,000.

Yeah, but it'll be near Scunthorpe.

Scunthorpe has lost that obnoxious smell you used to get when heading there on the train , you used to be able to smell Scunny before you could see it.

Scunthorpe mate said when Spaz was 'about 18' he bottled someone who was attacking a fellow player and got 6 months. Apparently their chairman went to see him every day and stuck by him despite him being a reserve and so young. Stayed there 11 years so despite being safely L1 standard (top of if plays regular) he'll go the and dominate in that league.

Yeh and the chairman and manager arranged for him to be allowed to train whilst inside, he loves Scunthorpe
