Seaford Town are pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Skipper as their First Team Manager.

He is a firm believer in giving youth a chance and is looking forward to taking up the challenge with Seaford.

SEVEN DAYS LATER!!!

Date: 28 Jun 2013
After less than a week in the hot seat Alan Skipper has resigned. Following a meeting with the players on Tuesday evening he phoned Club Chairman, Bob Thomsett on Thursday to advise him he was disappointed with the negativity coming from the players and felt he would be unable to continue.

Obviously the Club are extremely disappointed he has come to this decision without even taking a training session or playing a match. It is well known players leave their options open during pre-season, often visiting a number of clubs before committing to their signature to paper and it has been do different with our own players, but we have found in the past they have usually remained with us and we had no reason to believe this would be any different.

When we advertised the position originally we had several excellent candidates, and chose to go with Alan in preference to the others and when we made contact yesterday they were no longer available, so we find ourselves without a manager with pre-season training due to have started last night and the first friendly on 6th July.

We are therefore urgently seeking to appoint a new manager at the very earliest opportunity and applications are invited by phone to Bob Thomsett on 07842 340913

:lolol:

Hahahahah what a cock
Really, so he turns up for his 1st training session to find only 5 players there and it's his fault is it!?? The players that were there openly slated the club and it's lack of organisation such as no balls, bibs or cones available and no one knew where they'd be!! Sounds to me like a wise move, especially as he now has a role back at Lancing.
