During my "first" driving test the examiner suggested I don't overtake traffic jams again thinking they were parked cars.

never buy, with buying the bank owns your house and you pay much more than the value due to interest, and when you die, much goes to tax too......you never really own it.

Erm, what? You obviously have no family to pass it to.

I paid £35,000 in rent in my first five years after uni. Not including rent paid at uni.

Mortgages about 30% goes on interest, so saving A LOT more. That's how much in my case but will save a lot if I overpay by £100 per month (about £13k interest saving).
