The Cherries have completed the signing of experienced Republic of Ireland full-back Ian Harte on a free transfer.

The former Leeds United and Sunderland defender has signed a one-year deal at the Goldsands Stadium after training with Eddie Howe’s squad for the first time this morning.

Harte has made more than 200 appearances in the Premier League and featured 18 times for Reading last season against the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham.

The 35-year-old is renowned as a set piece specialist and has represented his country 63 times during his career.

Harte becomes the club’s second summer signing following the arrival of defender Elliott Ward last week.

They'll get some set-piece goals this year, then. Think they'll be hemorrhaging them at the back though.

Decent at set pieces, but I'd definitely rather have Shorey if that works out for all round game these days (I know the OP wasn't insinuating we should have gone for Harte).

Speaking of Bournemouth, are we allowed to sing a lil' song for Tommy when he comes back to the Amex? Big fan of his and still a bit gutted he's not in the squad in some form or other.

**** off dick head so what if he is a window licker i don't give a ****....

That post sums you up nicely. Lacking in intelligence so, pushed into a debate, you resort to abuse.
I guess your mental deficiency means I should follow my own ethics and leave you alone. Boo.
